Nexus Pets is dedicated to bridging the gap between people and resources for their pets across Oklahoma.
By focusing on education, outreach, and adoption, Nexus Pets works to reduce the number of at-risk dogs and cats, ensuring more pets find the care they need. Operating as a facet of Nexus Equine rather than a separate entity, Nexus Pets expands the organization’s impact beyond horses to address critical gaps in lifesaving efforts for companion animals.The expansion to Nexus Pets in 2023, supported by the board of directors and donors, was a strategic response to the urgent needs of dogs and cats in Oklahoma. This growth led to the evolution of our parent name, Nexus Animals, reflecting a broader commitment to supporting both equines and companion animals. Founded in 2016, Nexus Equine was created to fill a significant void in equine welfare in Oklahoma, a state with one of the highest horse populations yet limited resources. Now, as Nexus Animals, we continue to build a compassionate and supportive community for all animals in need.
